About Pack 101

Pack 101 has been serving 1st through 5th grade at May Watts Elementary school in Naperville, and the surrounding area, since 1988. Our Pack usually has between 25 and 60 children, arranged into Dens by age/grade.

Both boys and girls can be Cub Scouts! Our Pack is one of the early “mixed” den Packs where boys and girls are in the same den.

The Pack was originally chartered through the Countryside of Naperville Homeowners’ Association. In 2012, the charter was moved to Community Christian Church.

Our Scouts, families, adult leaders and volunteers work together to:

  • Influence each Scout’s character development and personal growth
  • Develop habits and attitudes of good citizenship
  • Encourage good sportsmanship and pride in growing a strong mind and body
  • Improve understanding and communication within the family
  • Strengthen skills in getting along with others
  • Foster a sense of personal achievement by developing new interests and skills
  • Provide fun and exciting things to do
  • Show each Scout how to “do your best”

These are skills that are developed throughout a youth’s years in Scouting. They work on similar ideas each year, but with a greater depth, as they become mature enough to work on more complex areas of skills.
